Tara Seeley joined the Westchester Community Foundation at the beginning of 2016. Her career-long commitment to the nonprofit sector includes roles in leadership development, program development, executive leadership and grantmaking. Most recently she served on the "Plan 2020" project management team creating the Bicentennial Plan for Indianapolis, IN, focusing on economic and workforce development.
As a program officer at the Central Indiana Community Foundation, Tara was profiled in the Center for Effective Philanthropy's research report, "Working with Grantees: Keys to Success and Five Program Officers Who Exemplify Them." Her volunteer leadership has included affordable housing advocacy, board chairmanship for Montgomery Housing Partnership, Montgomery County, MD and board chairmanship for Indianapolis' non-profit land bank, Renew Indianapolis.
Tara earned her bachelor's degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, and a J.D./M.Div. degree from Vanderbilt University.
