Former Foundation board chair honored
Former Westchester Community Foundation board chair Matthew McCrosson will be honored for his long-time commitment to his community through volunteer work and service. Volunteer New York! will give McCrosson its second annual Legacy Award at its 36th annual Volunteer Spirit Awards on May 4.
McCrosson serves on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Westchester Community College Foundation, the Business Council of Westchester and the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He is a Partner at PKF O'Connor Davies, LLP. He also serves on the Board of PCSB Bank.
Volunteer New York! is honoring McCrosson for "his exemplary philanthropic commitment and leadership.Matt contributes to numerous nonprofit and civic organizations with skill and passion."
Besides his service on the Foundation's board, he also served as chairman of the board of the Support Center for Nonprofit Management, and he served as the Treasurer of Volunteer New York!
He has been honored as a Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association; Man of the Year, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; the Lasallian Medal from La Salle Academy, NYC; 100 Business Leaders in USA – Irish America Magazine; and is deeply involved at Manhattan College, his alma mater.
