"Westchester Serves" Expo PDF Print E-mail

“President Obama has called upon Americans to rededicate themselves to bettering their communities through volunteerism, and Westchester County government is responding,” said County Executive Andy Spano. “I encourage students, retirees, the underemployed or unemployed – anyone looking to make a difference – to step up to the plate.”  Nearly 1000 Westchester residents were there to hear the call.  To volunteer, click here.

The Westchester Serves Expo was held June 19 at the Westchester County Center. The expo kicked off with welcome remarks by County Executive Spano and Emilia Nuccio, a successful businesswoman, philanthropist and voluteer in Westchester, talked about how you can make an impact on a community through volunteerism and the benefits of community service.

The event is co-sponsored bythe Westchester Community Foundation and the Volunteer Center of the United Way.
